STORYTELLING EVENTS

We have opportunities for groups of children to participate
in the presentation. If you have a scout troop, family group,
sunday school class, YMCA group, neighborhood or any group
of 5-10 children and would like to participate in this artistic
performance please call us for more information.

The parts are easy, involve no memorization or speaking parts,
and the costumes are usually jeans, tennis shoes and a colored t-shirt.

FIREFIGHTER BREAKFASTS on Sundays
Our volunteers of children and adults will make waffle breakfasts
this fall and winter for your local neighborhood Fire Department.
We need volunteers
to help deliver hand-outs, help gather donated items for the breakfast
like Bisquick, syrup, nuts, etc,) and Volunteers to make
the WAFFLE Breakfast for the FIREFIGHTERS on each of the
three shifts.
One Fire Chief asked me which shift we would like to serve the
Breakfast for and I told him I needed to research that. Upon
reflection I realized these brave HEROES protect and save us every
day while responding at ANY TIME 24/7. How can we do any less?
We will need 3 shifts of volunteers (about 8 in each group), 2 of the
shifts wil be close together, WE WILL SERVE ALL 3 SHIFTS just
like our Firefighters. As few as 2 families can accomplish
this but we want to include as many of our neighborhood children as
possible. We are teaching our children to BELIEVE in our
COMMUNITY through this volunteer experience.
NEIGHBORHOOD FLAG FLYING
Thanking our Firefighters
We need one volunteer per block who can hand out a small flyer
asking neighbors to FLY THEIR FLAG and say thank you to their
Firefighters. Can you imagine having a hard day - fighting fires in the
heat of the summer and driving back to your station only to see
flags along the way at every house? Can you imagine how your
silent thank you will touvh the heart of EVERY FIREFIGHTER?
