NEIGHBORHOOD FLAG FLYING - Thanking our Firefighters
We need one volunteer per block who can
hand out a small flyer asking neighbors to
FLY Their FLAG
and say thank you to their Firefighters.
Can you imagine having a hard day - fighting fires in the
heat of the summer and driving back to your station only to see
flags along the way at every house? Can you imagine how your
silent thank you will touch the heart of EVERY FIREFIGHTER?
We ask that every neighborhood in
HamptonRoads to do this. We need only
one " PATRIOT" volunteer from each neighborhood
to coordinate this.
We will publicize your efforts for you - call Peggy at 340-1995 or
We will encourage ALL OF HAMPTON ROADS
to Fly their Flags for the
whole month of September.
Can use see the POSSIBILTY of this effort becoming
contagious all across our country?
Will you join in this silent symbol of GRATITUDE
which will thank our local heroes?
HAMPTON ROADS will SET THE STANDARD
by FLYING the MOST FLAGS
every September 11th.
